Introduction

By the time I graduated from High school I had moved over 22 times. My father developed custom homes which allowed for me the experiences of living in different environments. My interest in Architecture and Design formulated very early in Life. Growing up, I had the “opportunity” to work for my father. He taught me, hands on, all the phases of construction, from Foundation through Finish carpenter. This has been a great asset; it allows for me to understand and see possibilities in the construction of buildings. In high school I started drawing plans for my father, uncles and cousins. After High school I attended Orange Coast College, where I completing their Architectural Program; Following that I enrolled at the Southern California School of Architecture (SCARC). Although I did not finish my studies at SCARC, it didn’t hold me back or diminish my passion for Architecture. I continued my education through work experience in the field. After spending some time working for local architects and moonlighting doing design and construction documents for Family and friends, I started getting commissions from people that would walk through my Family’s projects; that is when I started working on my own. I love my work, and enjoy learning. I’m self educated and never take for granted the knowledge and experiences of my peers. I take pleasure in continuing my education by reading, drawing and traveling. I take great pride in the path that I have chosen, designing is my life and passion, I love art, fashion, music, cultural food and most of all Architecture. In Everything I do in life I take a creative approach.

Philosophy

I like to think of my philosophy as a work in progress. I am constantly learning. My love for Architecture and Design is growing with every passing day. I look at every project with an open mind and treat it as if it was the only project I was working on. I enjoy creating pleasurable and positive environments for my clients to live out their dreams. I believe in function, enhancing every view possible and simple elements. I feel the interior space should relate to the exterior. The exterior needs to be strong yet graceful and flowing. I work with natural shade and shadow. I believe that the design has to fit the client’s needs and also be sensitive to its environment. My buildings and designs have one common thread, light and airy with the flow of indoor/outdoor living, I feel that these elements enhance the homes natural beauty.
