De Los Alamos Residence

Nestled on the cliffs in San Clemente, this remodel was driven by a desire to create a home that allowed for seamless integrated living. The segregated rooms that existed needed to be broken apart to create a home that is perfect for family living and easy to use as a place of entertainment. The upstairs great room is a perfect example of multiple rooms now integrated as one large open zone. This seamless living is enhanced but the use of the same minimal materials, throughout the house. The connection between interior and exterior was also enhanced by the use of large sliding and stacking doors. This allowed for a greater use of the exterior space. With clusters of gathering spaces now dispersed throughout the home and garden space, this home is a unique setting for entertaining and the perfect example of how to take full advantage of the California climate and life style.
